My horse has capped his hocks and i am looking to get a ice/cool boot. Has any one used the equine fittness stay cool boots or have any recommendations on good ice/cool boots??

Many thanks!!!

I got some hock boots that you put 'gel ice' into inserts in the side. I also bought some magnetic boots. I can't get either to stay up for any length of time.

i use kitchen cloths, then ice cube bags (so they are flexible), then gamgee and bandage over the top.

for the hock i would use the cloth doubled up, then lay the ice cube bag over the top and then bandage in figure of 8 to hold it securely (i wouldn't bother with gamgee for the hock as it will make it slip more).

only ice for 20 minutes at a time, up to 4 times a day.
