Ok so we all know it is icy and to be careful but last night I managed to hit a patch of ice under the snow and went a over t in the yard.
Landed flat on my back sandwiched between the backs ends of both my 16.2hh mare and my 13.2hh pony. Both were absolute gems and didn't move a muscle whilst I clambered to my feet. Bless them for being so well behaved I was in the direct firing line of both their back hooves.
This morning I have several large bruises but thankfully nothing broken.
Am very grateful I found it and not the girls - yard now got a coating of straw to aid grip for both equine and human!
Ice hurts!!!!!
