Only ever ridden Icelandics and I have to say they are real sweeties

I rode some up in Shetland where (as your probably know!) they live out on the moors and seem to cope with it 100% fine x

Have ridden both.

Personally I like Fjords because I used to work at a yard with one and he was the sweetest, loveliest horse. A g*t to jump but completely bombproof.

I would say that you need to find a couple of each to try and see what you think. The breed doesn't necessarily mean anything

Personally having ridden all three would go for a Highland any time...

If you want to see some Fjords in the North of Scotland you need to speak to David Stewart of Asgard Stud, St.Kathrines, Aberdeenshire. He is the President of the Scottish Fjord Registery. He knows more about Fjords than you'll ever have the time to hear about...
