Ideal Jessica saddle fitting help please

Went shopping tonight for new dressage saddle for new mare.
Fell in love with the ideal Jessica and saddle fitter said could try it until he could come fit my mare properly in a week. He has fitted a jumping saddle to this mare so knows roughly what he was after.
Is this anyway close to fitting as im better with jumping saddles and not 'up' on the fitting of dressage.
Any comments greatly appreciated

Looks pretty good to me! No saddle expert by any means but I can roughly fit a saddle
Looks really deep, which I really hate and it's quite high at the back just due to it being THAT deep but you'll know yourself how she feels in it
Too me it seems abit *on top* rather than *with* your mare, but again this will be loads different when you're sitting in it

To be honest I think it looks fabulous, love a lot of the ideals- they are amazingly comfy!

Just see how see goes in it, you shall know if she dislikes it if she anything like most of the mares I have ridden!

Difficult to tell just by pics and not feeling it our but for me it looks a bit to narrow, id also get a feeling it might move behind.
I had a jessica and it didnt sit as high on the wither

Your saddle looks like it fits in a similar way to this saddle below. It too is an Ideal Jessica and I can tell you it was too narrow. But has since been sorted.

Looks too narrow or possibly the wrong tree shape for her wither profile. So in summary, no it doesn't look good and I wouldn't be riding in it!

The tree angles look okay so probably not too narrow - the perched look is because I think it is too curved which makes it sit up at pommel and cantle, tree and/or panel looks too curved. I'd bet it would lift at the back like crazy in rising trot. Now if it is JUST panel you might be able to adjust the flocking - take some out under the seat and add a little more at very front and very back to flatten the fit, but I'd say it's the tree. What happens if you press down on the pommel?

Thank you very much for the responses and apologies in the delay for responding. I have not rode in it yet, but possibly may try it today. An interesting mix of responses and something definately to consider and as was said the mare will definately let me know if comforable or not. Quite odd as the same width as my jumping saddle but sits that bit higher at the pommel. If i push down on it, the back slightly raises.
My saddle fitter will be coming out asap and thinks he can adjust it slightly, possibly by half a size. I adore the ideal saddle and hope its not the tree!
Somedays wish i could saddle fit, i will let you know how i get on, both hacking and the saddle fitter

Make sure you can see light over the top of her spine when the saddle is on, that you can fit your hand inbetween the saddle and withers and that when you run your hand down the front of the saddle it isn't too tight.

Thanks sbloom & Megan, i know the basics and just tried this on for fit. I actually think it is quite deceptive in pictures, as when tried on and sat on, it didnt sit as if it was perched on top. When the pommel was pressed it did not move & when ridden and trotted in, there was no lifting or movement at all. Mare was swinging through and didnt try anything which is a good sign! I was sat in balance not too forward or behind and leg where it should be, actually fell in love as makes sitting trot quite simple!!
I wont be riding in it this week until the saddle fitter gets to see it, but i will be surprised if there is much adjustment required. This is a m-w and she has a prestige 32 tree if that makes any odds.
