Anyone who has ridden in a Jessica, please can you advise whether it is a narrow or wide twist?
Or what other saddles give you a similar feel in the twist?

I'm looking at a 2nd hand one, purely as my current dressage saddle is too wide in the twist for me.

Thank you ?

They are quite narrow .
It was a Jessica that I bought cheaply when I realised the reason I could not ride was the expensive saddle I had bought was too wide in the twist for me .
I think the Fairfax mono flaps I have now are a little narrower .
You can get a second hand Jessica quite cheaply form eBay and sell t on when you need to .
I did that last year bought a Jessica and waited for a Fairfax monoflap in the style I like ( the older one ) to come up .
I then resold the cleaned up Jessica at a profit .

Thank you.

I liked the Fairfax but my horse did not.
My horse likes current Spalding but I do not.
He likes short tree points and I like a narrow twist.Perhaps the Ideal is something we can compromise on.

I'm also going down a seat size to try and help us both!

I had a Jessica, bought second hand from my saddler as Rose was under weight and lacking muscle when I bought her. I think it was quite a narrow twist and I liked it, it also didn't have massive knee blocks which I hate. When I bought a new saddle, my saddler gave me what I'd paid for the Jessica against a new Albion K2 dressage, which worked well for us both. Clearly there's a good secondhand market for them.

Thanks guys, I may give it a punt.

I'd rather something like a Passier but a 17" M/W seems impossible to find in that type of brand!
