I'm not used to showing these types of ponies ( I'm used to hunters/large riding horses so need your help!) I have another Chestnut too so it will be used a lot. Max spend of £100 can go slightly over if its really nice. Im a 5'3 so must suit a shortish (Size 8) Initially used for inhand but later on ridden classes. It needs to look quality so I can use in County classes. Second hand is fine too.

this also reveals who posted about this pony!

What classes are you aiming him at?

If it's a class which needs a tweed, then I'd go for a green one. There are some nice ones out there. Tagg Tweeds are reasonably priced, I was looking at one on Sunday and find them too short for me (I'm 5'9") so they may be a good length for you.

You can't go wrong with a good keepers tweed.

Nice traditional colour that wont go out of fashion and matches any colour horse.

My part bred Arab is very similar to yours, here is a picture of me showing her in my keepers to give you an idea.

You can also see it looks good next to my bay pony too.

Thats really nice- where would I go about finding one- do they get ordered from a specific place or just from an equestrian online- tack shop?

I got mine 2nd hand from trusty steeds, they do have a website, might be worth a google?

Mine is a caldene one.

I have seen similar ones on ebay but most tack shops should have a good range though, especially at this time of year.

Stick to greens though, brown tweeds at a push but don't get a blue tweed!

By the way, you say you will be doing ridden eventually. What classes?

If SHP or WH, the same jacket will be fine, however if SP you will need a navy!

I cant do show pony or ridden SHP classes as I am too old! I can do intermediates though still young enough for that.... thankfully
