My horse sadly died on Friday morning, i chose to have him cremated and today i got his ashes and also they returned his shoes.

Does anyone have ideas on what i could do with them? Dont feel i could throw them away and would like to keep them.

so sorry for your sad loss xxx

ive had a few of my boys shoes made into frames i sent them off to a lady (inbox me if you want her email) it cost me £10 and she cleans them adds ribbon and a photo of your choice i absolutely adore mine and think it is a lovely way of remembering horses xxxx

A friend of mine had one of her horses shoes mounted on a wooden background with a photo of him in the middle and a little name plate (taken from his headcollar) underneath. With the 3 other shoes, she has 2 and we 'borrowed' one for her wedding day where we uses silk flowers to decorate it.

Very sorry for your loss

Sorry for your loss. I believe there is a company who mount them on a small stand with a plaque, but I can't remember the name sorry, perhaps a farrier may know. I have various shoes I've sprayed silver with car paint decorating the garden fence. And at the farm, there's various ones from horses kept there over the years hung above the headcollar hooks.

I have one of these too and love it. The lady I used has a website with lots of different ideas as well.

I also have one of his shoes on a bookcase in my house and another behind my desk at work.

can you inbox me a link to her website please? xx

As well as the above, you could also mount them in a box frame, have them made into coat hooks/bridle racks, or have a farrier make one into a hoof pick.
