My mare is currently in horsepital having injured the inner side of her hock down to the TMT joint. She will be coming home on Monday, we don't really have suitable facilities for box resting but the vet is happy for her to be in a tiny restricted turnout paddock in the field. She imagines it will need a dressing on for a few weeks, has anyone got any tips or tricks for doing this successfully on a horse that's turned out?

Ask the vet for a zippy hock sock. I can't for the life of me remember what they are called! They are made of stretchy mesh/lycia with a zip from top to bottom on the outside and velcro to secure the zip.

That's going to really annoy me now ...

PRESSAGE!!! That's the name of it!!!

Ah, I thought I would get in first with pressage ! I have one in my med cupboard, very useful bit of kit.
