I was just wondering what you all stuff your Kongs with. The first one I brought came as a package with some puppy squirty stuff. On reading the accompanying packaging I couldnt really see anything in it that looked of any nutritional value. So thought I would ask you all what you use ... I have a 12month old and will have an 8 week old, so I am assuming that they will both want different stuffings, although will probably use the same for both so anything suitable for little pup, just in case they end up sharing!
Thanks

I use a variety of fillings, cheese, dog biscuits, but the favourite seems to be tinned dog meat smeared inside - the collie spends much more time getting this out, with biscuits she just crunches the kong and the bits fall out! Just remember to wash it out occasionally or it starts to smell!

Philadelphia cheese, with bits of dog biscuit poked in, if doglet is on a diet get the light version;)

I freeze mine overnight and give it straight to Henry, makes it into a proper dogcicle:)

Sorry to hi-jack but what fab ideas - never thought of putting things like what has been suggested inside a kong!
I tend to stuff mine with biscuits & like someone else said, she crunches the whole thing & they all fall out

Frozen smeary stuff is the way forward!!!

dex loves the salmon sandwhich paste, and it is about 50p a jar......

Kibble and cheese and put in microwave to melt the cheese and pack it in as tight as possible!!!!

I then smear a layer of basics peanut butter on the top and freeze for a few hours!!

He gets given it straight out of the freezer. Takes him 40 mins to polish it off.

Tinned sardines if it he's going outside with it due to the drip factor. Just recently I've been squidging cooked chicken into it, seems to pack down quite well, and takes him a while to get it all out!

Has anyone tried marmite? I know it's a love it or hate it food!
I smear it on bread then push it into the kong.
It takes our girl hours to get it all out and doesn't need freezing.
The odour must linger so she's even interested in the toy after she's finished the marmite.
I like the peanut butter idea too....

Mine are getting half their food from kongs currently due to needing to keep them occupied-restricted exercise.

They have chopped up liver, raw carrot, rice (good for packing it down), bits of raw chicken, wainwrights wet food, orijen kibble, tripe, anything they'd normally get. Liver cake stuffed in the top is a good plug.

Zak has his frozen to keep him occupied longer but tends to steal everyone else's. Brig guards and carries his round but does nothing to get the food out. Spoon!

I buy minced tripe/minced rabbit etc and mix it with crushed kibble then stuff the kongs and freeze.

Frozen is best as it last longer. Tuna is also a good one to add or the stock from a roast mixed with mashed potato :)
