Hi everyone. I teach stable management for pony camp at the local riding school. Am looking for suggestions for next weeks camp, as most of the kids did camp last year so dont want to bore them with the same stuff. they age between 6 and 10, so dont want to get too technical. we have covered parts of the bridle and saddle, parts of the horse, the grooming kit and how to groom, how to catch a pony in the field, and the basics of shoeing, why you shoe.. Any fun interesting ideas would be greatly appreciated, as I am struggling to come up with anything that isnt too much for them.
Please help!!!!!!!!!

Quick release knots & how to tie up.

Trotting up in hand -a lot of adults don't seem to know how to do this properly.

Bits - different types?

Dangerous plants / good plants for horses.

They could learn all the different colours ,Get photos of as many as you can, ideal for inside if its wet. Same theme, different breeds the more distinctive type for younger children .Welsh/arabs/shire etc
