I have a 9 year old Appaloosa mare who I started to back early May (Ex broodmare) She was fab, Did some basics in the school and went on a few short hacks, the last was off the lead (walk and trot in company) but then she went lame so has been off. Shes fit to ride again now so will be getting on her later today.
In 3 weeks I will be taking on a yearling (My mares baby) he is 15 months old.
My question really is can I do anything with them both? Ill be hopefully inhand showing Alfie (Yearling) to get him out and about. I'd like to try some ridden showing with Betty if I am brave enough!
Id just like some ideas on things I can do to get Alfie well rounded and happy on the ground, and the same with Betty in the saddle. In particular I want to be able to hack Betty alone so any tips on that would be great.
