Sorry didn't mean to offend anyone with the knee block.... I was just asking if anyone could IDENTIFY the brand. FYI it's not my saddle or asking for anyone's opinion on the functionality of the knee block.

Any helpful input regarding the brand would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know why you thought anyone was offended. As riders we're just amused at how anyone could make a saddle with a block in so completely the wrong place to ride,.

If you are trying to value it has none or almost none. It's an unbranded,
badly made saddle which would actually be very difficult for people to ride in because of the very peculiar placement of the block, and probably worthless. I'm sorry if that offends, but that's what it looks like.

If you are thinking of buying it, please don't, you're likely to end up with a horse with a sore back, even if you are able to sit in it yourself.

No I agree, don't get me wrong. A friend asked me if I could help find out what brand it is as she got it as gift and wanted to find out more about the saddle. Thanks anyway

I'm a saddle fitter by profession, the knee block is relevant and I thought I'd given decent feedback, explaining why it was probably Indian. Ah well.

Even if it wasn't, unbranded saddles as already said are almost impossible, if UK there are tons of little workshops everywhere and identification can be very difficult, and value would depend on quality, condition, seat size and width (a narrow 19" would be virtually worthless as no market for example).

To be honest, I really think you will really struggle to identify a maker.

It is definitely a foreign saddle, and it would be virtually impossible to pinpoint a manufacturer from just the head nail - there are so many on the market. Ebay is literally awash with cheap Indian saddles, and the quality and workmanship is absolutely diabolical.

Sorry I can't be of any more help @SbSané
