Hi, Sorry i'm new to all this, i understand the aims of the BEF but how can you tell your horse/pony is nice enough to go or does it not work like this? I know it is open to any youngster that has been foaled in the UK and i would really like to take my rising 2 year old but am worried i will be laughed at due to my inexperience in this field. Would it be a benefical thing to take her to or is it only for people who want to breed or have a serious competition life. Does the horse have to have well known parentage or at least parents people have heard off

Dont quote me on this but i think you need the passport with atleast 3 generations in there !!

But dont worry just go and have fun - I took my colt this year to PAVO eventing in-hand - never done it before either and really enjoyed myself (apart from it peeing down with rain allday)

im sure you dont need a passport with three generations of pedigree, no one gets laughed at its a good chance for people to have there horses evaluated by proffessionals
