I noticed on the thread about stupid things we've all done that a lot of people mentioned putting boots on backwards/upside down.
I was taught that usually the straps/buckles go towards the back of the horse, then promptly handed a pair where the front set's straps went towards the back and the hind set's went towards the front, so this clearly isn't always the case.
Is there any hard and fast rules about how to put on each type of boot, and does anyone have any picture examples of it done correctly or incorrectly? Thought this might save a few blushes for the novices among us, and fewer entries on the numpty thread
