Idiots guide to putting on smilie faces etc

Hi
Being really stupid here, but how do you all get the little faces on your posts, the only one I can do is by using my keyboard and not the ones that you can choose from. Have tried but will not work for Miss Stupid, thanks in advance.

when you click reply and the box comes up theres a little smiley face with an arrow next to it click that and it brings up the smilies or theres some at bottom xx

You need to change your settings

Go to User CP at the top left - click and got to Edit Settings - scroll down to the bottom there is a miscellaneous option with a drop down box - you need to change it to the other drop down - which I think is advanced - then you will get all the smilies

Yep got that bit, have even ticked the one that I want and then nothing !!!!

I can't remember how I got the smiley option - think if you click on 'go advanced' you get them in the box. Otherwise you can type them all in anyway (just don't put in the spaces)

Ok I just checked you go to Edit Options - its the last box you need to change from basic to whatever the other one is then click on save.

When you reply you will only see the smilies when you click on 'Go Advanced'

I never knew you could set smilies on here! I thought you had to do them with your keyboard.
