Idiots guide to showing P/B Arabs in-hand

What sort of thing would you like to know?
I have a PBA and used to show him in hand as a youngster. We did really well, qualifying for the PBA UK champs at Keysoe and winning both classes there. He was the Arab First Cross youngstock UK champion too

He is the horse in my avatar and signature

I need to know how we should both be turned out for each class eg. Bridle types, tweed or navy jacket?? Plaited or left natural?

Your PBA looks v. nice, im taking my girl out for abit of fun, and to get her used to show atmosphere. I very much doubt she will get a placing, but I want to get it right, im used to showing Welsh Cobs and Gypsy Cobs so this is slightly different!!

Thanks for your help!!

Plaited mane, pulled tail, in hand bridle with coupling and lead if a youngster, if an older horse a double bridle or pelham with 2 reins over the head.
Very big flashy browband, velvet with big rosettes on the side. I have a lovely green, gold and burgundy one.

For you beige trousers, brown boots, shirt and tie and hacking jacket. I used to wear a black velvet hat with a flesh harness but a beagler looks better if you have one!

Hope this helps

Deffinately plain bridle no bling if he's of hunter pony build.
For PBA classes you turn out exactly how you would if it were a type class (sp/shp/hack etc)
