Yes you can, I had a Bedford CF with twin wheels behind and was never pulled up for it when stopped by the police for whatever they wanted. I have the new licence that stops you driving anything decent. They do tend to be heavier though so less pay load but are a lot more stable.

Its not about the wheels its about the weight! You can drive ANYTHING upto 3.5t on a car licence taken AFTER Jan 1997 and ANYTHING upto 7.5t on a car licence taken BEFORE Jan 1997
