Apologies to those of you who have seen this on FB, but Millie makes me laugh every day..... we are innundated with muntjac and fallow deer at the moment, so of course she doesn't get off the lead on a walk. Somehow I'm never in any doubt where the deer are however
And when she gets home, butter wouldn't melt as always..... do they send them on a course about "how to be so sweet you get away with everything" ??!!??
I have learnt to embrace the deer obsession and let mine follow the scent until the deer are in sight when they get praised for a job well done. Paradoxically it has made them much calmer about the whole thing as it has become part of their training. I just have to be prepared to go 'off road' and get dragged through a few bushes. I am working on rewarding calmness throughout the tracking and finding. I think Millie looks great. Lucky girl to have joined your pack.
