If Flyer measures about 20" does that mean he need a pony girth?

Flyer currently has a 48" stubben string girth which he goes well in, but im really tempted to try a fairfax. He measures about 20"(ish) between his front legs, so does this mean he needs a pony one?

Has anyone used a pony girth?

He will still need a 48 inch girth, possibly longer to fit properly, see the recent post about fitting the fairfax girths, a 20 inch girth is for saddles with long girth straps not just for a pony.
