FLIES

Hack from hell today..poor mare was trying to run off the whole time and so busy getting annoyed by flies that she didnt see a sheep come out of a bush next to us and bolted when she saw it!

Not fun. When we got back to the yard she had a gang of the little s**ts under her belly right up by her *ahem* 'bits' and they were the horrible ones that dont fly away..you have to actually squash them else they just latch on

poor girl..must have been horrible..no wonder she was snorting and trying to run off!
Does anyone elses horse have bad fly reactions?? How do you ride without getting plagued by them?

I use vasaline with a bit of tea tree oil mixed in and put it on the boobies or sheath, that keeps the blighters off the soft bits
