what breed would you get?
what discipline(s) would you use it in?

I would love a friesian but I don't think I could get one big enough.
So I would get a dutch warmblood or similar, 17hh for dressage and jumping

Low level Eventing, and fun all –rounder

I would have a 15.2, TBx/ISH for RC comps, a bit of BE and general allrounderness... exactly what i'm looking for at the moment

I did want a Welsh D and was offered a lovely one at the price of £5000, i was very tempted, but a friend told me about a 17hh ex racer looking for a good home free of charge or would be pts, nothing wrong with him owner had health problems, I went and see/tried him and he was so adorable even if a little big but such a gentlemen. Had him a year now and certainly wouldnt change him for any Welsh D.

hunted all season in Ireland...bit of a looker if my memory serves me right!
Not that I am infact saying that you should buy a horse-that would irresponsible of me!

Another Gelderlander but a mare, so I could breed them as they are a rare breed now.

16-3 most.
 
That is the budget I had (although I didn't spend that much in the end!).......and without a doubt I would buy George all over again, we have had our rocky moments but he has given me so much pleasure you wouldn't believe.
 
I'd buy what I was trying to buy in the bleeding first place lol! A 3/4 yo to make 16hh. Nice m/w type, pref with some native breeding. No 'issues' or hangups to generally have fun with. Hacking, RC, maybe some trec, fun rides etc
