Lovely Northamptonshire again!
Visit site
i'll start with installing my trainer at my place (which might metamorphosise into the most amazing yard on the planet, with swimming pool, solarium, walker, you name it), buying myself a GP schoolmaster, a Grade A schoolmaster, and about 5 lovely future eventers, and a Ketterer or Whittaker box. Oh, and a superdooper groom to help with the horses and drive the box for me, who i would pay very very well. And lovely new saddles for every horse!
you? What have i missed out?

I'd probably do pretty much the same as you!!
I'd have a nice cottage on site for me/partner and another one for staff with separate entrances.

I would offer the farmer a load of money to buy the field I rent and get planning for proper stables rather than my mobile one. If money and time were no object then I would buy a Welsh D or Friesan youngster to bring on. But I would still keep my gorgeous Welshie boy as my main horse as he is wonderful!

I would build a dream farm and hire people to keep it spotless.

I would buy one of those AMAZING horse trailers with decked out living quarters and travel around in the summer horse camping in style!

I would have an area of my farm for retirement /rescue horses

but have a few "sexy" horses that I have always wanted too

one would be an amaing Fresian tand the other would be a beautiful white Andalusian

Leave work

buy a lorry and what to me would be the perfect yard which would have to be somewhere with loads of off road riding.
Find a groom
Install my trainer and their partner,
Buy a load of good horses and try to find a good young rider to ride some of them as well.

I'd have a farm with two houses in Wales.

I'd build a yard, with indoor / outdoor schools, small x country across the land. I'd have two Whittaker lorries. Solarium, horsewalker and lungeing pen. Oh, and all my stables would be brick built in a squuare shape with a clock tower / archway entrance. I'd have a special rug room, rug washing facilities, and a room with cosy couch, tv etc in it.

One of my lorries and some of the stables and paddocks would be built especially for miniatures and shetties.

I'd employ someone to poo pick, and let my dad do what he liked with the farm side of things, and live in the other house.

My children would have whatever ponies they liked, perhaps a show pony for my daughter and a sj schoolmaster for my son, (that's what he wants to do). We'd have miles of offroad hacking.

Oh easy - dream place with land and staff to keep it beautiful. A Friesian stallion, and more Friesians to breed with. All facilities like schools and walkers and swimming pool. No neighbours. I could go on a long time here, but you get the picture, I expect!

i would do the same as kerilli but also have lots of broodmares and i would also have a racehorse and a helicopter...and horse lorry driver!!!it would make going to events easy...except for landing the helicopter...mmmmm well someone would have to meet me when i landed it and drive the rest of the way!

first of all, id buy sol a lovely made to measure saddle so we can wave bye bye to his wintec and riser pad combo!
id have a nice new yard with my main boys solo and red in it, then id have a seperate(but still on the same yard-type-thingy) yard with youngsters in it, and to keep them company id have a couple of retired racers in. i think id like a few broodmares too....
my ketterer lorry would be bright pink with silver graphics on.
and each horse would have lovely tack and rugs, and the horses show rugs would be a lovely navy wool one with pink binding...
and i have just one groom, and they'd be very well paid!

What everyone else says.
I'd get some good horses, get a built to requirement Kelsey lorry (Will FP new lorry), get a lot of land with 2/3 houses, everything the horses will need, trainers on site etc etc.
I would also go into the property business.

I would buy the most amazing house ever which would come complete with the most fantastic yard with every facility available. An on site vet, trainer, grooms, yard help but I would be a lovely boss!! I think I would buy the best Oakley lorry and a lovely herd of horses and as I would have enough land I would rescue dogs & give them all a lovely home.

The times I have this conversation with my husband - what I'd buy if we won the lottery, I wouldn't have any trouble spending it. Hubby just looks at me and says "it's really busy in your head isn't it"?

A chauffeur to drive my lorry for me, a trainer in situ, a Grade A and some really good youngsters, the house and yard to house us all, a fantastic groom and a lovely lorry, but not a stupid big one, just a nice one

A nice house, but not huge, 10 acres or so of nicely fenced well drained paddocks and a stable yard with indoor school and outdoor arena - and plenty of nice off road hacking including a gallop and cross country fences - not having to work for anybody else ever again - and breeding Highlands and native crosses
Oh and a nice reliable lorry

Don't want much, do I?

To start with I'd retire!! I'd set my Mum up with a her dream home close to, but not nec. ON the property that I'd buy - at least 600 acres. I'd employ my best mate who has had to go home to SA to help with the breeding side of my operation and my other good mate who I've recently met and she's bloody well gone and moved out of the area!! (Do you think they're trying to tell me something?) Anyway, she'd produce the horses for showing, SJ, eventing and I'd potter round learning off the schoolmasters and insitu trainer.

I'd have LOTS of dogs (bit like MFH_09) and an aga. A Cartwright bespoke lorry or two (different sizes)

I'd also clone Danzig - I have some of his mane hair!!

Billly twomeys yard + the house on site
2/3 top horses
a few youngsters
groom to stay at yard all the time
groom to come to shows + drive lorry
A whittaker lorry (the one with the double pop-out
grin.gif
)
and just go out lots to different places with my friends/family and enjoy myself!

Would buy a nice house with lovely bg stables/menage/gallops/plenty of turnout/swimming pool/hydrotherapy centre and set up my own therapy centre. I would then buy 2 youngsters and 2 eventing school masters. Would buy a nice big HGV lorry, and a smaller one that I could drive for "lesser" trips (
wink.gif
) And would sped all my time playing ponies!!
grin.gif

i would buy a lovely house-not too big but nice looking with some pillars and stuff.
would have a swimming pool and tennis courts
smile.gif

and stables-two yards one with 5 stables(done with bars halfway up the walls so the horses can talk to each other) and another with 10-20 stables for liveries.
would have indoor and outdoor school, horse walker and solarium/washbox.
flat post and railed land-around 20-45acres with some woodland and a river running through
smile.gif
would have a xc course going through it too.
would buy a dressage schoolmaster at GP and another 2 youngsters-one aged 3 andhalf and a 5 yo.
smile.gif
prob WB, all dressage horses of course with talent to go to psg/gp.
an aston matrin vanquish and jag xk8 would be lovely too and a small car to run about in like a polo.
oh and 2 horse box you can drive on car licience and a nice big 4/5horse lorry too.mercedes maybe not too sure about bigger horse boxes as only got 2 neds!

Firstly, I'd quit my sh*tty job and tell the management exactly what I think of them.

I'd have a nice big house in the South Warwickshire countryside, with loads of land and a lovely yard with big smart stables, tack room, indoor and outdoor schools. I'd have tracks laid all round by hundreds of acres so I could go on long rides, and I'd get a few friends to keep their horses on my yard (for free). I'd get a cute little lead rein pony for OH's nieces and nephew, and I'd get a seriously good instructor in to give me lessons really often.

I'd make sure my mum had enough mummy so that she didn't have to rent her house in wales out anymore, and then I'd buy a nice lorry so Me, Murph and OH could go on hol to Wales once a month and I could ride along the miles of beaches....

The dream house of course with pool etc. Personal trainer to get me fit...yard full of top eventers with Andrew Nicholson locked in a barn somewhere!
also a nice aston martin with Rupert P-J out of Spooks sitting in one looking sexy
A brand new 6 horse oakley supreme.
dont want much do I!!

I've only just bought my hay from a field that is part of 42 acres + old farmyard that is for sale in the most beautiful place on earth. I've been lusting after it ever since. Imagine how many four legged rescue cases I could have! But would still have my own boy for riding - we'd just have a groovy lorry and get out more. Maybe I'll win the Lotto - if I buy a ticket!

I'd remain exactly where I am, doing exactly what I do, but I would like to get the outside of my house smartened up and have the garden finally done; I want a nice cobbled patio out the front of the house and decking all around the swimming pool; then I would like the back garden terraced with some beautiful huge stones from our farm.

I'd replace all the stock fencing on the farm to post and rail and I'd have all of the hay fields on this farm made into pasture fields and have some other daft bugger go off to our other hay fields up the road and make all my hay for me....and deliver it into the barn!!
grin.gif

I think I would still do what I do with the horses - I adore youngsters so couldn't ever see me not having them and I would still sell them to nice people when they reached 3 years old....that really does give me a lot of pleasure seeing people so happy with horses I have raised and backed.

I wouldn't change any of the facilities I have on my farm and I wouldn't have any more built - I like it just the way it is.

LOL Merlotmonster - ditto Rupert P-J in an Aston Martin - preferably in his Persuasion get-up too... (**drifts off into little daydream**)

I would buy a beautiful house somewhere close to lots of events with loads of perfect post-and-rail fences, lovely courtyard stable block, all-weather indoor & outdoor schools, gallop, hydrotherapy, horse walker and crosscountry course. Plus lots of off-road hacking and hills for fittening. I'd like a couple of nice experienced schoolmasters to take eventing, one for dressage, and a couple of nice youngsters to play with, maybe ponies to produce for FEI teams... Also I'd like a professional event rider to keep their horses there as a base, for company, advice, bouncing ideas off and company at events.

I'd probably have a foal from Missie by embryo transfer so I can keep her in work. And I might buy a broodmare or two and breed a few nice foals which my on-site event rider can break and compete eventually...!

Oh and i would give up work, and have lots of lovely kids, ponies and dogs running around everywhere.

Sorry got carried away there -what a lovely daydream!!!

I'd set up a luxury Horse & Pony Rescue & Retirement centre, pay all those hard working people (that so often are volunteers) great wages, have state of the art technology in all elements, and set up a well monitored & sponsored rehoming programme. Solariums, one-to-one care, equine pool, amazing turnout, you name it. Ooh now I cant concentrate at work. I would live onsite, with a new Porsche Cayenne, 'most' of my family nearby lol, and holiday cottages for friends to visit, and ok, I'll stop now. It would be the most famous and luxurious rescue & retirement place in the world.
