If the new horse tax is £100, how are we all going to afford it?

£100 per horse, per year? NO WAY!!!

And for what exactly? That's not going to help pay my vets bill, my insurance.... yet another tax of which 75% of it is used for administration and set up costs.

I feel a revolt coming on

if the horse tax comes into play i will have to find new homes for my horses they take all my money anyway let alone having to pay a tax on top of it

WHAT on news forum they did say DEFRA had inferred it may be £100 per horse, where's £300 now suddenly come from, that can't be true!!!!....... No way can they jump from £10 to £300!!!
 
I thought it was going to be £10.50 a year per horse, i was cross enough about that, but £300.00, they will all have to go if that is the case, there's no way i could keep them.

I have not read any of the articles so have no idea who is collecting this money nor the reason behind why we are going to have to pay it so I shall await further details. However, if it turns out to be just another way for the government to take money from the hard workers of society then I shall be losing my polished halo appearance and the worm will certainly have turned.
 
I think I shall declare myself a Traveller. After all, you can be a static Traveller these days..... and then I will be exempt, probably.
 
Pony poll tax !!!! just typical of a spendthrift left wing administration, this however is nothing compared to the global warming sorry climate change scam and is the excuse for new taxes global goverment and jobs for the boys that they are proposing !!!!

Do they really think we are all really just going to hand over the money.
It will soon be like the 18th and 19th century when only the rich could have a horse.
What do they think will happen on all the big yards, horses will have to go and they will be no-one to buy them.
I think this is something that has not been thought out just a figure pulled out the air to make money.
Can anyone tell me what the tax is on other animals e.g. chickens, cows and sheep
 
I feel anougher march might be called for, not that the last one did any good. How else can we make ourselves heard when every one thinks we are all rich nobs with money to chuck around, i am so fliping mad, were will it bloody stop. It really will become an ellitist sport soon , is that what the goverment want???
 
Tax on other animals is a hell of a lot lower, but they use the excuse that a farmer with say 500 flock of sheep will still be paying more than a horse owner etc!! And more farmers than horse owners??? I still can't believe they are talking about that much of a rise, but then this is the government we are talking about!!!

Don't get fat, don't get old, just work, pay taxes and then die.
 
I think to pay for infectouse deseases (sp) if and when they occure, PapaFrita. I mean if we have an outbrake of foot and mouth , blue tongue or somthing,.
