I would probably end up with full kennels and staff to look after them all! Realistically I find 3 a nice easy number to work with. (At the minute anyways
I would have loads, so have voted ten plus. I would love a Caesar Milan type pack including (since we're dreaming) :
Cane Corsos
Dogo Argentino
Pitbulls
Great Danes
Minature doberman pinschers
English Bull Terrier
Italian Greyhound
Borzoi
and every other breed imagineable! But those are my favourites.
I've had four dogs before and that was too many - regardless of time and money! My mum did warn me, but I didn't listen
- any more than 3 and they tend to start being a 'pack' rather than individual personalities, so you lose some of the joy of having them IMHO. Mum currently has (I think) around a dozen, so she is a good reminder for me LOL!!
I have got 2 at the moment, would have 3 maximum if I didn't work, had my own house etc etc
I put 6 as I have 4 now and when we walk I have three in one hand and one in the other, so I reckon I could go up to 3 in each! Plus some real oldies from the rescues that just want to spend their last years pottering about and snoring in front of the fire.
Well Im certainlynot rich....and I have 6 of my own...the least I have personally owned myself.....and currently have 10 rescues.
My mam has approx 38 dogs in...and he place looks exactly like CESAR MILANS this is a picci I took in the summer...will get some more when I can...but still looks the same just different dogs
Its not really a choice...its more like....u have no choice...if that makes sense
I'd never have less than 2 dogs. Generally I keep 3 dogs because I find that is a really great number, however right now we have 3 big dogs and 4 puppies however 3 of the puppies will be leaving soon so we will be left with 4 dogs altogether.
I'm not sure that being rich has anything to do with having a number of dogs though.

Husband is off back to England - you live in England - Canada Post is useless but Royal Mail is not - hence the package will go with him and I'll have him mail it when he gets back to the UK.
In all honesty I would have Finn and that is it!! Cherry and Tinks are OK but they aren't mine, they are around but I don't think you could have a relationship with more than one dog.
I wouldn't want to jeopardise the realtionship I have with Finn by getting others, as much as I would love the others I wouldn't want to or be able to give the same love to like my babby boy!!

LMFAO
I was thinking when I read that....why doesn't Tia send my sweeties with the hubby...then I read the post below it
Right now I have 7. My mom says that strays have a network and know that I will take them in and feed and take care of them. The latest is a young pit bull. I didn't want to take him to the shelter as the conditions there are not good and they don't make much of an effort to adopt pit bulls out. Tiger is such a sweetie and a bit of a wuss, I felt he deserved a chance. I did contact a local rescue and they are paying for his neuter and shots as I am broke after Christmas.
If I won the lottery (have to check my ticket) I would go back to showing dachshunds and have a nice kennel for standard wires for me and some mini wires for my daughter.

I like having just one - I find they bond with you better that way.

I agree, but having had one since Wurzel was pts in September, she is actually beginning to annoy me with her clinginess! One is easier in terms of actual cost and day to day looking after, but I do think for the dog maybe some canine company is preferable. We are due to get our pensioner dog in March, so will see how that goes down...
I have been up to 10 at one point but as I do rescue this is what happens, you tend to get a dog in that gets right under your skin and it doesn't go any further. Now down to 4 after natural selection, most of my oldies have gone off to the Rainbow Bridge, Ben, 13yr rescued lab being the last to go in August.
I don't think I will ever have less than 2 dogs but as I get older I have to stick with a manageable number. I have two oldies at the moment, one is almost 15 and the other is 12, then there are the two younger ones, one aged 6 and one 7, so probably, the two youngest will be my last dogs.
