Hi all
I am in the enviable position of setting up a competition yard and now the build is not far off completion I need to start gathering quotes and ordering equipment.
So, if you could have/use any product/equipment that you wanted (money no object) what would you use? Names of companies would be great where possible and reasons why you would choose the items.
1) bedding - stables are 14 X 14 and fully matted.
2) showjumps -types/amounts etc suitable for schooling eventers
3) yard equipment - barrows etc
4) dressage boards/markers
5) anything else you would have if you could truly have whatever you wanted that would make life easier.
It is a 20 horse indoor yard with a 20 X 60 indoor, 30 X 100 outdoor, large undercover lunge pen, all weather gallops and 35 acres of grazing, most of which is quite hilly.
I look forward to your replies!

My dream yard would have the following:

heated rug dryer(s).

washing machine (we wash all of our own numnahs/rugs/boots).

rug room (labelled hooks for each horse).

Option for individual/small group turnout/Medical paddock.

walker.

lunge pen with decent, maintained surface.

FEI standard showjumps with plenty of 'scary' fillers (think jump 4 joy do these?).

WH fillers (as above).

plain wooden/plastic poles and cups for pole work (so the horses don't wreck the 'nice' poles by standing on them).

double wash bay with solarium and hot water shower (so can tack one up while one is drying/warming up). Current yard has a shower unit plummed in and the solarium is token operated.

surface would be a flexi ride type, preferably not waxy because it then sticks to *everything* (speaking from experience)

large tack room (with plenty of storage and enough space between saddles so stirrup irons don't scratch the leather).

plenty of forks and muck buckets for the arenas - nothing worse than having to hunt for and then drag a full bucket of muck and a fork across the arena to clean up after your horse.

I would have dressage markers in all arenas.

Plenty of shelves and a large whiteboard for the feed room.

A flat trolley-type thing for moving feeds/haynets through the yard.
