a friend of mine has had his horse advertised and he know has to sell PDQ due to going in to have a knee op on 11th july and he is struggling to keep up with the livery etc. so is not sure how he is going to look after him while he is out of action for 6 weeks. he is a genuine horse and he is now willing to take an offer what do you think he is worth.

For a quick sale I think he'll need to drop the price considerably- probs to 2.5-3k

thats what i told him, he has someone looking a week monday when they come back of holiday but he will not be able to ride for them before. i was thinking 2.5K without tack etc

I think to get a quick sale price is the biggest factor. People haven't got the money at the moment to spend on anything.

Price is quite alot considering his age (yes I know he's "not dead yet") but it certainly limits his working life so I would be thinking more like £2000

i just told him the comments and he has taken note.

thank you he is going to reduce to £2k.

he is lovely but finances and the operation means he can not keep him.
