....with Sport Endurance and the entry form asks you what level of riding you are at...what would you put if you were someone like me?

I would hazard a guess that numpty, muppet or eejit aren't officially recognised riding levels

I would just put average. You can't go wrong with average.

You aren't a beginner and I don't read about you in magazines,,,,,so you must be average

I was thinking of novice/basic leisure rider. I wouldn't class myself as a complete beginner but I wouldn't consider myself as good as average.

It's a big box, maybe I could say I can walk, trot and canter securely. I can pop a fence ok too .... but going down steps would be a no-no after yesterday's trip around Somerford.

Is there a category for "fine apart from steps" ? LOL

I would put novice tbh. Not because I think you are crap or anything like that but I would personally put it as would be embarrassed to get lumped into something too advanced for me. I am novice or beginner on my stuff, that way it is a pleasant surprise if I turn up facing the right way

That's how I feel. I'd rather people think I'm worse than I am rather than them expect me to turn up and be able to ride like Mary King!

Novice sounds about right.

Nope.

It's the Jaques Rider at Eccleshall on the 25th August. We go through Bishops Wood too.

ST21 6NF - google map it.

Arrrr.....even in a waterford?

I find the Neue Schule Universal Waterford is brilliant. I don't need to add the curb strap or even have it on the gag ring. Holds Patches far better than the Waterford Gag did.

Why don't you ring the organiser? I would guess that the entry form is for pleasure riders and competitive riders and the level of rider box is geared towards what level of competitive endurance rider you are - e.g. novice, intermediate, advanced. I can't think that it would request a pleasure rider to put what level of riding they are at
