who would you choose?
I have just had a nosey on William Funnell's website and It got me thinking about who I would choose if I was in the position to do this.
My list would be:
Eventing: Lucy Wiegasma (sp) or Ruth Edge
Showjumping: William Funnell or William Whitaker
Dressage I know sod all about so I suppose Carl Hester
How about you lot?
 
absolutely NOT one of the names on that list!
for Eventing - WFP if he'd ride it, I don't think there's anyone better.
for SJ - John Whitaker.
for Dr - Laura Bechtolsheimer.
sorted, all i need to do now is win the Lottery!

Ummm

Eventing: Mary King
Show Jumping: John Whitaker
Dressage: Kyra Kyrklund (saw a good demo she did)

Do you think they would mind riding a Cob or a Fjord?

After i'd scraped them off the floor laughing...

Eventing: Mark Todd in his prime. He was just such a gentle rider but still got the best out of his horses.

SJing: John Whitaker

Dressage: My instructor Kirstie. She might not be an international rider but she knows the fiesty little beast better than anyone. I think Carl Hester's legs might actually touch the ground

I'd go with Harry Meade for eventing (yes, despite the Badminton fiasco) or WFP obviously... or Mark Todd.

Show jumping - There are many European riders whom i love watching, but I'll go for a Brit and choose William Whitaker or John Whitaker, or Robert actually as he's a kind rider.

Dressage - i like Laura B, and i think her Dad is a brilliant trainer. So them or Richard Davidson, who's a superstar IMO

Eventing - William Fox-Pitt for sure.
SJ - William Whitaker or Robert Whitaker
Dressage - Carl Hester or Andrew Gould
 
Id say Mark Todd eventing, Shane Breen, Dennis Lynch or Michael Whitaker sj (there are many many sjers i would send a horse to if I could afford it) and I doubt I would ever send a horse for dressage whether I could afford it or not!

Racing - flat - John Oxx or Mark Johnston (ok so trainers rather than riders!, but Im more likely to have a racehorse at some stage of my life than a performance horse)
NH - well Paul Nicholls would be an obvious one but possibly Mouse Morris either.

Well I won’t say who but a Top Professional Dressage rider in Kent has ridden Badger, and he really enjoyed him!

Eventing - Oli Townsend / Austin O'Connor..
Showjumping - William Whitaker / Ben Maher
Dressage - Edward Gal / Carl Hester / Ferdi Eilberg

(DR riders are all pretty obvious choices but love all thier seats and attitude towars thier horses

I'd choose Nicola Wilson for eventing (well she's local!) and showjumping at the mo, I do like Tim Stockdale - like his riding and his demos just feel he somehow misses out on the horses. I do however think noone will match John (Whitaker's) riding though.
 
Ohhh, very good question!

Eventing - HAS to be Mark Todd, he looks so effortless and quiet, when I watch him I think he could jump a beach donkey around Badminton! Love the way he just lets the horse perform to its best and doesn't interfear.

SJ - Ben Maher (but a girl I know has a horse at his and pays a mouthwarteringly large sum for the privalege! Would need the EuroMillions not the lottery for that one!)

Dressage - Anky Van G. Dispite the rolkur debate, she captured my imagination when I was a very young girl with Bonfire. This isn't probably ever going to happen that I own a GP dressage horse, so I can at least have that childhood dream. Or any of the Eilbergs - wonderful positions and training methods, very patient with horses that can take longer to mature.
 
Eventing - WFP - he is my all time favourite eventer, makes everything look so easy!

Dressage - Carl hester probably, or my instructor

The pro who rides my horse when ive got exams does an excellent job with him, and is happy for me to leave him up at yard with no booking in or notice

SAME!!!!! i am a huge fan of Steph Croxford, i think she is fab. i would love her to compete my horse for me.
