hypothetically of course (well OH hopes lol) that you wnated to show ridden eventually, what would you be looking for and how much would be a reasonable budget??

Why don't you contact the Clydesdale Horse Society? Their email address is: secretary@clydesdalehorsesociety.com. Their website is: www.clydesdalehorsesociety.com. I contacted them back in the late '90s when I was about to purchase my late Clyde gelding. They were very helpful. They also gave me suggested prices for colts, fillies, stallions, geldings, and mares.

You could also subscribe to the magazine The Clydesdale International & Shires Today. Their website is: www.clydeshire.co.uk. It is published in Scotland by John Zawadzki. His email address is: clydehorses@yahoo.co.uk.

Ridden Clydes are very popular. There is a world of information and support out there for you, especially since you are in Glasgow.

Good luck (one look at a foal and your OH will be smitten)!

thank you, we went to vieit some yesterday but the one i.liked best - a colt wasnt for sale only 2 mares and i didnt fancy either oh will come round he wants a shetland tho lol

The first stud I would look at would be Collessie up in Fife. They produce world reknowned stock.

Conveniently there is a shetland stud 10mins away from there too ...
