We've ended up with 0.25 of an acre....there's some pics here if you want to see:

My field....

It's not too bad, certainly do-able for one horse; glad we dont have two though!

Further to your other post, a pair of Marigolds and a bucket are the only thing for poo duties. If you only use one glove, the other can be turned inside out and it then becomes the other hand to what it was made for. Pair lasts twice as long......

Ah thanks for that....better than the poop scoop buckets you can get then? Coz that's what I'd intended to get...you might have just saved me some money!

Bless her, she looks like she's enjoying herself!

(Re poo-picking, I'm not a big fan of the poop scoop thingys as there is too much stooping involved - hard on the back. I find that a shaving fork works really well.)

Thanks, Katie_A - looks like I will be retrieving my purple shavings fork from the barn and buying a pair of marigolds! No need to splash out on a poop scoop if there's no need!

lol, my dad has a right strop if the horses go on his lawn, and it's not even a nice one!

Says he can't do his mowing!

Shame you only ended up with a bit of land.

Sure you'll cope fine though, at least you have some!

Yeah exactly, at least they've not taken the whole lot away!

It's fine, just about wide enough to school or lunge in, and at least the fence is good and sturdy!

Ellie says the garden grass tastes sweeter though.....

You need to get every last bit up - if you understand that you can get over 250 worm eggs per gram of poo............ A shavings fork would leave more behind than I would find acceptable and once the dung beetles and flies have been at them they are just piles of fluff.
