Hi all. I have a HB403 that I bought brand new last year. In fact it's a year old on valentines day.

I know they are suppose to carry one horse at 16.2hh max but what is the max height you would feel comfortable putting in one? My youngster (4 later this year) is a Clyde x trad cob so kinda big. He's 16hh and loads and travels fine but I'm thinking I may need to sell it and get a HB505 take out the middle partition and use a full length breast bar. If he gets any bigger, and of course he is likely too, I think I may be pushing it size wise.
Thanks folks, really appreciate your views.

I think a 505 is about the same height as the 403 and the 510 is the one for taller horses. You can get a pair of pretty big horses in a 505 and the single is wider than one stall of the 505 so I would of thought you'd be ok based on numbers.

Your horse may say otherwise but as you say, seems happy enough.

As above the next trailer up height wise would be the 510/511, the 505 is just the same height as your 403.

The 403 also offers more space for a larger horse than a 505 ( due to it not being squished into the one side -unless you are travelling without partitions in the 505)

I travelled a 16.3hh built like a tank ID in the 401 quite happily :)
