Hi We are viewing a few Ifor trailers tomorrow and was just wondering if anyone knew the difference between the blue hunter trailers and the standard Green boxes, Is there much difference? Thanks
I think it is just determined by the finish , mine is a 2004 blue 510 and its immaculate.
The primary difference between Ifor Williams blue and green 510 horsebox trailers lies in their exterior finish and trim. The "Classic" model, often green, features black or silver exterior trim, silver mudguards, and potentially wheel trims instead of steel wheels. The blue 510, on the other hand, may have a different trim and mudguard design, potentially with steel wheels. Functionally, the Classic model may offer more ventilation with sliding front windows on both sides.
Probably a but late now but my green ifor was a hunter box. The only difference I'm aware of is the size of trailer and the classic have extra windows!
I don’t think that the specs of blue and green Ifors of the same age is any different.
The 505/510 Classics (manufactured up to 2008) came in silver and black and are well worth seeking out. Widely regarded as the best trailers Ifor ever made - I still have mine owned from new .
Sliding front windows for extra ventilation, plus a locking groom’s door which can be opened from inside or outside the trailer. The non classics have catches for the grooms door which, when they are down, cannot be opened from the inside.
Thank you everyone! We ended up buying the ifor Hunter trailer in Blue with sliding front windows! My pony can get quite Hot travelling so the extra windows for ventilation will be great!
