I am in the process of getting a new trailer. Which one of the above would you recommend and why ? Would be between Ifor HB506 or Richardson Supreme I think.

i have a richardson

why? because - less nickable not so many people have them and so arent so desirable to nick and sell on,

stand out in the parking at a show as loads of ifors and hardly any other types,

has much better suspension therefore better ride for your horse,

when you get to a show you can open the top door and your horse will be able to see their neighbours

(front ramp/door on left),

umm and i cant think of any more right now.

if ifor upgraded their suspension then i would have either/or but until they do i'll always be thinking about the ride for my horse and richardson wins hands down

I've currently got a 510 and have previously had a Richardson Supreme Ultra. I would have to say that I prefer the Richardson but they are like gold dust in the Ultra model and have just brought a 510 as we couldn't get another Richardson. We preferred the left front unload and it seemed more airy somehow...

If someone gave me an Ifor I'd sell it!

Richardson all the way. More spacious, better suspension, horses travel better, ramp is on the left, and all the other things everyone else has said. I have the Supreme III cos I have big horses and kids with ponies and it is perfect for us.

I've just upgraded my trailer to a Richardson Supreme late 2007 model.

It's great. I love it! Far more roomy, quiet to tow (my old Ifor rattled), it has a truly rot free floor as it's plastic too. Aluminium can corrode apparently over time.

I bought mine because it was a good deal and largely because I share my surname with it........almost personalised with the lettering on the panels.

Well I had to make this decision when I bought my new trailer, I decided I wanted a Richardson as all Ifor's load onto the road if you are in a crisis, however I couldnt find one I liked second hand (did not have the cash to buy a new one) so had to buy another Ifor, but it was in V good condition, nearly new etc and I got it for a pretty sweet price IMO. I guess its whether you buy new or not. I have heard if you hunt a lot is better to have a Ifor too as otherwise you unload into ditches and hedges. so swings and roundabouts.
