Ifor Williams Single Horse Trailer

I have one, and am really pleased with it. Bought it mainly as I only ever tow one horse, but has the added bonus of being able to be towed with a smaller 4x4. Just bought a Ford Kuga, and it tows it easily (and legally!) Not had a double to compare stability but I've found it very stable.
 
we looked at one at a sale but we decided it would be better to get a double as you can put loads of tack etc in it if you dont want a smelly car and if you ever do need to travel 2 horses it is very useful to ave a 2 horse
 
I have one and love it.

If you only have one horse then they are fab. I had to have a single as my Clydesdale wouldn't fit in a double as the gap between the partitions wasn't wide enough but too wide if it was removed so a single was the perfect solution.

It also meant i could tow it with a Honda CRV (medium size 4x4) so day to day running of the car wasn't expensive unlike larger 4x4's.

Also because it's not as wide as a double you can see down the sides while towing and no need for those larger wing mirrors.

Downside is you can't have a tack box in them unlike a double and obviously you can only take one horse!!!
 
Seems like good comments from you all, how much on average did you pay.

I have seen a varity of prices from 1500 to 3000

I will only ever tow one horse :) so sounds perfect for me

Yes they are fab, we had one, all the horses we travelled in it liked it, it was very stable and easy to tow. And you could tack up in it!
 
Ours is great. Horse gets more room to himself than he would in half a double. Only 'problem' is that you don't have all that extra space to shove stuff in that you get in a double so you have to pack the car well.
 
I bought mine for £2800 direct from Ifor...Just love that new trailer smell, LOL!!!

My friend bought hers off Ebay. It was 6 months old and used very little and paid £2200 for it.

I'm sure you can get older/cheaper ones but just remember to do all the checks to make sure it's safe!!!
 
I love mine, can't praise it enough. Tows brilliantly, very stable and legal using a mondeo with Meg.
Brought it in Autumn 2003 second hand but used twice for £1900. Fab!!
