My trailer recently had the front nose panel replaced. The guy who did it rang the dealer with my trailer chassis number and ordered the part they said. My trailer was MK1 front and he’s fitted a MK2 front.. it’s left me with a gap between the matting and the front.. Ino Ifor Williams do sell MK1-MK2 conversion kits so people must do this? But nowhere says anything about there then being a gap left? Please see photo and please help as to what I should do. The guy who fitted said he was told by Ifor dealer that was the correct part for the trailer so won’t help but it obviously isn’t 😭🫣

It's not great that the fitter didn't check the measurements before doing the work, but at least it isn't a functional problem. Do you need the rubber to extend to the front, as obviously the horses won't stand there? I'm not sure about using a conversion kit, but you could just but a second hand piece of matting and cut it to fit?

If another HHOer has had experience of this then I expect they will be along to post shortly. I hope that you manage to get it sorted 🙂

Yes I’m thinking that will be the easiest option - to buy some matting to slot in :) thanks for the reply!
