Our general purpose flat Ifor Williams car trailer has been stolen, between 1am and 7am Sunday 18th January 2009.
The thieves cut fences and chains/padlocks to take it, it was pushed through 3 paddocks before being pushed onto the main road, they dismantled a post and rail fence to do this.
Just in case anyone does see or hears of a trailer for sale the serial/chassis numbers are;
Serial No. 408437 This will be shown on the data plate which is on the tow hitch
Chassis No. 4 - 77700 This is actually cut out on the main chassis of the trailer, which makes it difficult to alter as you would have to cut into the steel to remove.
Trailer is 8' x 5' with a rear tail gate.
It also has a tie ring bolted to the front of the inside of the trailer, the spare wheel is missing, the number plate light is broken, the mud guards are scratched on the top. It also had our number plate on the back NK51KSN, which I realise will now have been disposed of.
The trailer is now the Ifor Williams data base as stolen.
The thieves also stole all of our headcollars from the stables, we heard that they had also struck again last night at another yard just under a mile away from us.
