This is probably going to sound really stupid??!!

I have an ifor williams trailer and have only ever used it for one horse so it hasn't caused a problem in the past...however...when the breast bars/tail bars fixed into their slots they cannot be placed straight and one of them has to go on the diagonal otherwise they wont fit in????

is this how they are meant to be??surely not as it must be uncomfortable for horses to lean on a diagonal bar? it must throw their balance??

hope this makes sense!! can anyone help!!?

No they should be straight. I use a full width bar in mine and it fits straight across....sounds like they were misaligned when built somehow?

Alternatively...you do have to fiddle a bit in order to get them to fit. One end has the loop catch that you put a pin through and the other has just a hook...you put the hook end in first and will probs have to circle the bar down a bit in order to get it up and round the outside of the other end hole and then slot it in....but they will go straight.

Are you trying to put both sides in say the middle hole? You may find you have to put one in the front holes and the other in the middle and adjust accordingly on the rump rails. I think mine does this but like you I haven't had the partition in for ages.

also mine move at the end of one of the breastbars (the bit with the pin in ) in and out maybe yours have got stuck hope you understand what i mean !!

Sounds like your middle partitions are fitted the wrong way round - it does make a difference

I think akelly has the answer - I think you have the two panels of the centre partition (ie between the two horses) in the wrong way round. If you take them both out and put the one that was in the front in the back and visa versa, the chest bar and tail bars will fit. The centre partition panels are different lengths so if they are in the wrong place, the chest and tail bars will not fit.
