i have been offerd a 10year old 505 that has only been used for storing hay had a servic about 2 years ago for £1500 would u buy it looks in great condition its got a wooden floor that thay say is sound

Depends if it genuinly is in good condition - the old IW trailers have wooden walls and floor and after a while the sealant on the roof goes, letting water seep down the edges, rotting both wall and floor. So even if it's only been used for hay , if it's been outside it may well have rotted. Plus if it's not moved for ages then the breaks and wheels may have seized up.

However it's easy enough to replace just about everything with Ifor William trailers, inc the roof, floor and walls. If you're good at DIY (or have someone who is) then it's not hard to do. I replaced the walls, floor and electrics on an ancient IW trialer (i.e 25yrs old) for under £300 and sold it for £800.

If it's in good conditions and the floor and walls are sound (do check them really well, don't just take their word for it) and all it needs is a little TLC them £1500 is a reasonable price.

We were offered a pristine 1.5 yr old Ifw trailer for £2000 so maybe if you looked on horsequest etc, you could get something with the metal floors for around that price.
