I've just had a call from a really lovely lady called Sally at ILPH. She rang to thank me for offering help etc the other day.
She explained that they can't have anyone in to help at their yard due to insurance/health & saftey etc but the offer was gratefully appreciated.
They do not need any type of food or hay as they are fortunate enough to produce their own hay/haylage.
They would take any tack, rugs, blankets etc but couldn't promise it will be used for their ponies/horses but said they have a tack shop that does really well from the sale of these type of items.
I mentioned HHO and what everyone was doing and she was amazed, grateful, and thanked everybody, really don't think they had a clue at how much is being done.
She said they are a very lucky organisation and get a huge amount of donations for which they are forever grateful and didn't want to appear ungrateful at not being able to take in the things being collected, and would be happy to take in items that if not used, we wouldn't mind them being sold on in their tack shop, which is very busy according to her.
Just thought I'd pass this on.
