I'm a bad mum :(

I let my friend ride my loan horse this afternoon as i was really pushed for time, so anyway i tacked him up but (here's the bad mum part) I put his girth on the wrong way round and now he's rubbed underneath his elbows. I feel so guilty now he's red raw, i've put sudocrem on it and cleaned it!

I'm such a bad mum!!!

p.s the owner knows that my friend rode him, she has other horses on the yard

Bet you won't do it again though!

We all do things that we kick ourselves for afterwards, you're only human. I wouldn't beat yourself up too much, just take it as a lesson in what not to do next time!

You're only a bad mum if you did it intentionally!!! We all make mistakes. I once brought my chunky cob mare in early in the morning to keep her out of the strong summer sun for the day... and forgot to leave her any water!!! I suddenly realised at around 4pm when I was still stuck in the office and frantically rang a friend I knew would be there to put some in for her.... which she did and Cherry completely ignored it!!! Typical!
