RI tonight confirmed my niggling doubt that Lil was stiff behind. I've been concerned for a couple of day but couldn't get her to lunge sensibly so I could have a look as she kept tarting off and bucking so assumed it was bad behaviour rather than pain.

Feel terrible that she's been feeling sore all week and I didn't listen to her.

Having her back checked on Fri and will then take it from there. Really hoping its nothing sinister, she was going so well and we have so many plans for the rest of the season.:(

Your not a horrible mother you just needed someone to confirm what you were laready thinking and your doing something to get it sorted out. Best of luck, fingers crossed its something very minor

Thanks. Ended up having to retire my last horse D for something that started as "just a niggle" so can't help but panic slightly.

Anyone who has been there with a health issues with a horse is bound to panic - I do and know lots in same boat!

Dont be hard on yourself for not realising pai issue cos as soon as you did you are getting it sorted xx

Yes, your a terrible, horrible mother and you should be ashamed...

Of course your not and the fact that you were concerned and realised your horse want quite right a week ago proves you know your horse well.

Your RI was just confirming your suspicions and in a way also confirming that you weren't imagining it or your horse wasn't putting it on to get out of doing work.

Now you know, you having back checked & perhaps the saddle.

Good luck and i hope it isn't anything serious.
