I know this is a bit sad but I spent my Christmas money on some Richard Maxwell stuff. I have watched the circling work on the DVD and am going to start it with Star tomorrow. I thought it would be something fun (and hopefully constructive) for us to do while the weather and light is so rubbish for hacking. Hopefully improve our relationship too (not that there is any problem really!)

Has any one else done this? How did you get on, did you find benefits? Or am I just a sad muppet?!

Have alot of respect for richard maxwell, his methods are very effective, would throughly recommend.

Yeah he is the only "alternative" trainer that appeals to me. I guess it's that Army training crossed with the fluffy stuff that I like.

Used his methods years ago when my Icey wouldn't load - have been to his demos and he really does speak lots of commonsense and uses an approach which makes a lot of sense and works. BTW, Icey has never failed to load since - even now, 10 years later, he almost trots up the ramp
