Well today me and my horse had a little adventure to our first ODE at Ardingly. All my times were in the afternoon so i had a lie in which is all good then went down to load up flint and of we went.

We got there nice and early. Tacked up flint in the trailor and took him out to stud him up. . .then onto Dressage. . .the bit i was dreading. Got over to the warm up and i decided to warm up away from everyone, he was being a typical excited baby and was playing tanks with me. Took him over to the dressage and i was sooooo confused. I have never done dressage so i was a bit lost. Went into the arena and for a first EVER dressage test on grass with no railings he did really well!! We have alot to improove on and ended up with a score of 53.95. Which for his and mine first ever test i am over the moon. So we have huge room for improovment but i enjoyed myself and it wasnt so stressful

When we came back and we were loading up the lorry some women in her fat horse lorry tried to squeeze between flint and another parked car. Flint spooked massivly knocking my mum flying and just missing her wih his feet. Luckily mum is ok but is now even more terrified of horses!

Onto sj. The warm up was so mad and hectic i ended up crying, people were in my way and i was getting frustrated the ground was really deep. But flint was still jumping and listening to me. Went into the ring, and came out with 5 penalty points. We had one refusle and one time fault. No fences down so i was over the moon.

Straight onto xc the bit i was really excited about! warmed up really well and all i really had to remeber with flint was to ride super positive. We set of and straight over the first fence, straight onto te next field and jumped 3 fences really well and back down to the next field, jumped all the fences really well, but then came to one of my scary ones. A really boxes solid hedge. But i shouldnt have worried about it as he lept it and got me out of a sticky moment. Popped another fences and then onto the scary double with. . .a multicoloured. . .crocodile lol and a chunky hanging log thing. I knew he would look at it, and he did but i was so determined he jumped it and then went down the hill and popped a lil drop and then straight back over the hill. At this point i was about a jump behind the person infront of me, and was a bit worried i would catch up. . .luckily i didnt. Popped another couple of fences and then onto the last jump which was a water splash with a step out and then a gallop to the end.

It was mine and my horses first ODE and we nearly had a double clear im very proud of him only being 5 and having not done much. I had a super day and i couldnt have asked for a better result i dont know how i did exactly but i have left a stamped addressed envelope so i should know in a few days

You may have seen a bay mare loose, that was mine. She fell on the concrete before we even started but she should be ok. We were supposed to be doing the novice! Well done again
