Hi just a quick post to thank all those who were supportive when I inadvertently became the Saturday night special the other week. I'm sorry to say that the posts were not edifying or typical of my style but they were in response to comments which obscured the basic facts that the horse either hadn't been prioritised or concerns about ongoing poor behaviour hadn't been shared with the owner - we never did get to the bottom of which one was the case. Much of what was said needed to be said but probably in person and not on here.
In the melee received a three day infraction for blanking out a word to say how messed up things were which in the past has been the norm on here. I asked for the threads to be removed when it was clearly becoming nasty and Horse and Hound were slow to respond and whilst I did not identify the trainer involved I was named and personally defamed some time after I had requested deletion.
I will probably lurk here as the wisdom is good at times but given my experience I don't feel comfortable that the moderation approach is adequate and feel that the advertising revenue could probably fund something more robust.
On a positive note the horse is doing well and hasn't put a hoof wrong at his new yard - he has been out to jump etc without issues..... perhaps he is simply responding to a different approach and riding style etc or perhaps his issues were played up ..time will tell but in any event it's a positive.
