Hello- just woken up- but to be fair I didn't sleep on Tuesday night!
Well, bit of a mixed show to be honest. Got there on the Tuesday evening, rode them around, had the four year old, the five year old and Robert's eventer, Arch.
They all seemed to take it in rather well, they were in tent like stabling again this year, and the young ones hated not being able to look out. Cracker, the 4yo hadn't been out since a 2yo so he was rather on his toes, all settled ok though, and Bec and I had a night of drinking G&T with the shires lads.
I counted 1 and 3/4 hours sleep that night, I was up at 4.45am to muck out and take the babies around the show.
Bec sewed me up, I got on, very smart looking 4yo for the hunter class, bloody thing dropped my twice in the warm up, but managed to settle him and take him in. Settled ok, but blew up during the canter so I decided to take him out, shame too as it really wasn't such a strong class this year, but hey ho- next stop Yorkshire show.
Bec did well in the novice on Friday, and Robert rolled the pole in the RD WH stakes, I took Roller in the Novice for a friend and had the same sodding fence down- easiest upright on the course.
Ah well, feel better knowing the 4yo isn't going to the GYS having not done a stay over show this season yet- and lets hope our luck is better there!!
