For personal reasons, I'm giving up the breeding side of things and selling up. I'm going to keep one horse to ride, plus the section A to drive. My heart is just not in it any more, my health isn't all that great and my priorities have changed. I will be sorry to see them all go, especially the babies, but I've made my mind up.

I'm sorry to hear that, but if it's just not what you want to do, there is no point carrying on if your not happy

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear this. I hope everything goes smoothly and you find good homes quickly.
Give us a yell if you need anything.

I'm really sorry to hear that but you have to do what's right for you.

I wish you good luck for the future and hope you find homes as lovely as yours have been for your ponios and their babies.

I know what you mean, we are going to downsize greatly too after this year.
Sometimes you realise how much work there is and how little fun you are getting, and I just can't cope with any more huge vet's bills.
We will likely keep just two mares and the stallion, sell off almost all the youngsters etc.
Heartbreaking in a way because some of them really are very nice, but they take such a lot of time and handling and my husband says he wants to stop and do other things like normal people such as holidays!
I know too when you feel lousy it's doubly hard to carry on.
Don't feel bad, it's a wise decision.

Oh gosh, I'm not giving up horses altogether!

Life wouldn't be worth living without them! I just have too many, it's too much work and no fun at all. I have managed to do just one show with them this year. The breeding side is rewarding, but it's a long game and is such hard work. For the last 2 years it has been work, work, work and no real fun at all.

I want to ride again while I'm still able to give it a go. With less horses, you never know, I might even have a bit more time to come on here

I know exactly where you and HH are coming from, believe me! After next year, I plan to get down to just the one mare of my own (probably Swallow as she is so easy for anyone to handle and she'll have cracking competition type stock anyway) It's very wearing when everything is a chore instead of a pleasure isn't it?
I do hope you find great homes for yours and you enjoy yourself with your riding and driving and we see a lot more of you on here.
