Got a test from the stud yesterday saying - "Congratulations grandma, Maddie scanned in foal at 45 days, foal due mid April!"
She is now in foal to Baloubet de Rouet. Can't wait; the chances are as they are both chestnut shw will have a baby ginger one if all goes according to plan

It will be her first. I have had her since she was weaned but she suffered an accident in the field and dislocated her pastern. She is sound but the injury resulted in bone spurs on her hock so we retired her last year at 4.

She had done a couple of BYEH classes, jumped BN & Disc on a ticket and done some affiliated dressage. She was a really smart little horse and I was devastated but hoefully she will make a fantastic mum and pass on her looks, ability, talent and charm to several baby Maddies!

Will you be keeping the foal for yourself?

Sorry, so many questions but I'm quite frightfully nosy really, especially with such interesting sounding parents!

Not this one no, we have leased her to the stud and I will probably settle for a less high powered sire next year!

Thank you

PG we need to set up counters to countdown their due dates.
The first of the two foals due at our yard was born this week. He is very cute but huge. Born to coloured parents he is brown!
Just waiting for the other mare to foal know - she is very fat and very grumpy!
