I'm going to have soo much fun on 'new horse'!!

As some of you know Ash will be off all winter with the hope of returning to do some hacking come the spring

A friend has very kindly offered one of his horses for me to play with, he is 6 yrs old, homebred by Jumbo and 17.1hh. He has had a year off in the field so we are currently undergoing the '4 weeks walking' job to get him fit, but you know when you get that feeling? ......The one where you just know your going to love something?... Well i've got it!!

He is such a sweetheart and loves a cuddle, i'm a very lucky girl to be given the chance to ride him!
So whilst i am gutted about Ash at least i still have a ride.

Hi Sam!
Ash is fine! Looks like a little retired pony at the mo! He has no shoes, living out and getting wooly! He is enjoying his little walks out in hand - its like taking a big dog for a walk!
The worst of it is, is that he seems sound!!
Will post some pics of Joe when i get some!!

I have had a short trot on him (to break up the walk schooling session), and i think he might trot me out of the saddle! He has such power in his hocks, i can't wait to do some proper work with him!
