I've just been reading through an earlier thread about PREs, and didn't want to hijack so i've started my own.
I found the thread very interesting and particularly relevant for where I am at the moment and I have a couple of questions.
I'm off to see a gorgeous PRE filly this weekend, with a view to buy her. She has been described as "baroque" type, which I assume to mean old fashioned? What are the positive/negatives of this as opposed to the more modern type?
I'm not new to PREs, I used to live in Barcelona and worked/rode for two Grand Prix dressage riders whose horses were 95% PRE. I already have a 2yo filly who I've had since a foal, so again I'm used to youngsters. The filly I'm going to see is from a well known stud but she is very cheap in comparison to other youngsters her age going for over £3k+

I'd be grateful if any PRE owners/experts could perhaps take a look at the advert (happy to PM) and see if there's something I might have missed? I'm known for being suspicious of a good bargain, everything sounds legit but don't want to get my hopes up too much.
Furthermore what should I be looking for in particular? This is the first horse that I've spent more than a few hundred quid on (I normally pity buy!) so I want to make sure everything's 100%. I tried getting some advice from the BAPSH facebook page but got quite a few PMs saying not very pleasant things unfortunately!
Thanks :)

I'm suprised you've had problems on th BAPSH page, I'm new to PRE ownership and have found them a really friendly bunch.

Posted on the main page with little response and just got a few PMs which, like I said, weren't too pleasant. Won't rule it out though, maybe I'll get a friendly reception once I actually own a PRE but could have done with the advice.

Happy to chat to you privately if you want to PM me :-). There are many reasons why the filly could be not-so-expensive: time of year, size, colour (lots of breeders are going for the "new" colours and offloading grey broodstock - mad, I think), unfashionable bloodlines, or whatever.
