I helped out at the riding school yesterday, and got a free lesson in return. I'd never ridden the horse before - all I've ever been used to is 15hh coblets, but he was a 16.2hh TB!
I was absolutely terrified when I saw the size of him, but as soon as I put his headcollar on in the field he nuzzled me and gave me a cuddle and he was just such a sweetheart.
He was brilliant to ride, and I felt really comfortable on him - I didn't want to get off! Then he just stood there patiently and let me give him lots of kisses.
I asked his owner if I could have him... funnily enough she said no! But I will definitely be asking to ride him every week now - what a loverly boy!
